Tested by an independent NIJ credentialed laboratory, the Spartan Armor Systems® Flex Fused Core™ Soft Armor IIIA Soft Body Armor meets NIJ level IIIA specifications. This means it will stop .44 MAG SJHP, as well as being Special Threat Rated to stop .357 SIG FMJ impacts. It is also multi-hit rated and is capable of stopping up to 6 rounds. The soft armor can be used stand-alone, giving Level IIIA Protection Or ICW (in conjunction with) as a backer on any of Spartan Armor Systems® hard armor systems.

Adjustable and Comfortable

The Low-profile design of the Spartan Armor Systems® DL Plate Carrier features bottom-loading plate insertion capability and a 4” fully adjustable cummerbund. The 500 Denier/Nylon blended material makes for an extremely durable, comfortable carrier that will flex and bend, contouring to your torso as you move throughout your day and activities. The inclusion of built-in soft Mag Pouches provides a tactical advantage. It can accept AR Mags as well as a Pistol Mag (2 on each side) for versatility and quick access to your reloads.

When the environment you are operating in demands discretion and stealth, the Spartan Armor Systems® DL Plate Carrier and Flex Fused Core Soft Armor Panels offer minimalist features for extreme concealment. It is virtually indiscernible when worn beneath loose clothing. Covert, comfortable, and concealed - it is made for environments that demand maintaining a low profile. Our soft armor system can also be worn overt (on the outside of clothing) and can accept hard armor such as Spartan™ Omega™ AR500, AR550, or Armis IIIA Hard Armor.

What size does this soft body armour fit?

This plate carrier is the industry-standard "one size fits most" and will adjust to fit anyone within the range of a 38" to a 48" chest.
What material is used for the Flex fused core plate and what's the shelf life?

Our level IIIA soft panels are made of a Kevlar-like material that is tested to stop rounds up to .44 mag. The shelf-life on this item is 5 years.
How do you wash and properly maintain this?

Here are our suggestions:

First, remove your MOLLE pouches and hardware from the carrier. Pouches can be cleaned separately in the same fashion as outlined below..

Make sure you brush off loose dirt and plant material. Using a dulled tool, scrape off any dried or caked mud. Be careful with this step, don’t use a sharp tool that could cut and weaken the fabric. Then, use a soft cloth to remove any remaining loose dust or dirt.

In a bathtub or large basin, wash your carrier or gear in warm, never hot, soapy water using a mild liquid dish soap or a small amount of liquid laundry detergent. If you use laundry detergent ensure it does not have any color brighteners in it as these could lead to premature wear of your carrier or gear. Immerse the carrier completely and let it soak for a few minutes. Then, gently work the fabric back and forth to help loosen dirt trapped in the fabric. Use a toothbrush for stubborn stains. Avoid stiff brushes, abrasives, bleach or solvents, which can cause discoloration and damage to the carrier.

Give the gear a good rinse in clean water. You will want to make sure to completely get all of the soap out.

Reshape the carrier and set it out to dry. Always air dry away from direct sunlight. Direct sunlight or using a tumble dryer could cause premature wear or shrinkage of your plate carrier.
